Santorini Experience
What is the Santorini Experience?
Santorini Experience is Santorini’s premier sports tourism event and includes running and swimming races, with the magnificent areas of Oia, Imerovigli, Fira and the volcano as a backdrop. It is co-organized by the Municipality of Thera and ActiveMedia Group.
Where and when?
Santorini Experience will take place from 3 to 6 October 2024 in Santorini, one of the world’s leading tourist destinations.
What are the routes?
The event includes trail running routes of 15km, 10km and 5km with a view of the Caldera, starting from Oia, passing through the settlements of Imerovigli and Firostefani and finishing back in Oia, as well as the unique open water swimming route of 1.5 miles (2.4 km) starting from the volcano and finishing at the old port of Fira.
Free Participation for Thira Municipality Citizens
The citizens of Thira Municipality can participate for free.
Thira residents can register for free exclusively at Alafouzos Sport, the event’s Official Sports Store, at Fira in Santorini.
